Kelly Tshibaka is a popular American politician and attorney who served in the federal government from 2002 to 2019. Then served as the commissioner of the Alaska Department of Administration from 2019 to 2021. She competed in the 2022 United States Senate election for the state.
Early Life
Kelly Tshibaka was born on September 5, 1979, in Alaska, United States. Her father was a union electrician and her mother was an oil field worker. She was raised in Wasilla and Anchorage.
She received a bachelor’s degree in 1995 from Steller Secondary School in Anchorage. Then she enrolled at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Kelly received another bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 1999.
In 2002, she earned a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School. She is the first member in her family to graduate from college.
Career
Kelly Tshibaka kicked off her career journey as a worker of the federal government in 2002. Then she worked as a commissioner for Alaska’s state government from 2019 to 2021. She takes part in the 2022 United States Senate election as a Republican candidate.
Personal Life
Kelly Tshibaka married Niki Tshibaka, they first met while she was in law school. Together the couple has five children.
