Early Life

Anna Sorokin was born on January 23, 1991, in Moscow, Russia. Her father was a truck driver and her mother owned a small retail shop.

Born to a working-class family, she emigrated in 2007 at her 16 years old. She attended the Catholic grammar school Bischöfliche Liebfrauenschule Eschweiler. Despite of struggling with the German language, she received a bachelor’s degree in 2011.

She moved to London pursue to join Central Saint Martins, an art school but dropped out.

Career

Anna Sorokin joined as an intern at Purple, a French fashion magazine where she earned €400 per month. She holds her surname “Anna Delvey” and set up her mind for frauding.

In 2013, she traveled to the United States and it seems to be easier to make friends in New York City than in Paris. Then she planned to stay in the city and came up with the idea of the “Anna Delvey Foundation eventually finally began her frauding business.
