Jacob deGrom was born on June 19, 1988, in DeLand, Florida, United States to parents Tony deGrom and Tammy deGrom. He has two sisters named Sarah Meeks and Jessica Fender. Jacob attended Stetson University and also played college baseball for the Stetson Hatters.
Career:
Jacob deGrom was drafted by the New York Mets on May 15, 2014, in the ninth round of the 2010 MLB and he made his major league debut. He was in the New York Mets for a long time until her joining to the Texas Rangers. He joined the Texas Rangers signing a five-year, $185 million contract on December 2, 2022.
