Early Life:
Zubaida Rahman was born on June 18, 1972, in Sylhet, Bangladesh to parents Mahbub Ali Khan and Syeda Iqbal Mando Banu. Her father Rear admiral Ali was the chief of the Bangladesh Navy and former agriculture minister during the reign of Hussain Muhammad Ershad. The Bangladeshi military leader M. A. G. Osmani was her uncle.
Personal Life:
She married Tarique Rahman in 1993 before joining the BCS health cader in 1995. Together the couple has a daughter named Zaima Rahman, a Barrister in London.
